We have recently had an sql server upgrade and server upgrade at work with. I transferred Old Dts packages into the new sql sk5 installation. I downloaded the dts patch from Microsoft and have been able to run most of the packages as legacy packaages. However there are a some packages which I ma having difficulty running. On the face of it I though I would just need to change the server name to new server but this dosen't seem to help.
I did not create the packages so I am not particularly sure what they do and my predecessor did not leave any documentation. Is there anyway I could send them to someone for them to have a look at so I could perhaps figure out why it may not be working.

Hello,
Are any of the packages using a multi-phase data pump in your SQL 2000 DTS designer? If so, a lot of code could have been written for various phases of the data pump. If you have not fully implemented this with your SQL 2005 server, this may be a cause for different behavior.

Things will work out. Get back up, change some parameters and recode.

Have you tried to run it interactively to see where it's failing?
