Running 2000 RS against 2005

    We currently run a purely SQL 2000 environment. Server A hosts 2000 Reporting Services (sp2). Server B is our SQL 2000 database server, hosting both the Reporting Server databases and the databases which are queried.

    We are going to upgrade our database server to SQL 2005.

    My question is : Will we have to upgrade our 2000 Reporting Service at the same time, or will it be possible for this to running using a ReportServer db hosted on SQL 2005?

    You may be OK as long as you don't try to edit any of the 2000 rdl's on the 2005 machine using the 2005 designer as it enforces the 2005 report schema in place of the 2000 schema.
