When I open the jobs, it does not give me a choice under the steps to Run as the Proxy. It is running t-sql and the drop down is blank.
Proxy exists and has log on as batch rights. Any ideas?

Yes, i'm sa as well. It works for all other types, ie. cmdexec, activex, etc. However, not for t-sql. Is there a reason for this? or am I missing something?

What edition of SQL Server do you have?
And what kind of step is it? (CmdExec, T-SQL, etc.)

Sql server 2005. It has t-sql steps as mentioned above. I can change other types of steps to run as proxy but not t-sql.

In SSMS, on the job step propertiesm there are two pages in the upper left: "General" and "Advanced", both of which have a "Run As" option:
On the "General" page, the "Run As" is a SQL Server Login
On the "Advanced" page, the "Run As" is a Windows Account.

Seems to have worked using the advanced by picking the windows proxy account rather than the Proxy Name itself on the agent. Lets see how it works!
Thanks!
