I am getting the below error when running the rsconfig.exe. The web server running Reporting services is in a DMZ on an external domain and the Database server is on the internal network. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The encrypted value for Configuration/Service/UnattendedExecutionAccount/Domain in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Reporting Services\ReportServer\RSReportServer.config file cannot be decrypted.
Thanks,
Paul Bourg

hi frn, when installing the Rs key will be generated or it will be generated while running for the first time. while u r configuring using rsconfig or activating it key should match and they will be decrypted. if they dont match u will not gain access.
for the past 1 week i suffered in INstalling RS finally succeeded. if im wrong please do let me know.

How do you get the keys to match if you're changing the ReportServer connection?
I'm trying to move the ReportServer databases from one server to another. I have SQL RS on a seperate server. So all I need is to do is to tell SQL RS to look at the new server. But every time I run the command prompt as explained here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/842425/en-us, I get an error that says:
The encrypted value for Configuration/Service/UnattendedExecutionAccount/Domain in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Reporting Services\ReportServer\RSReportServer.config file cannot be decrypted.
What step am I missing?
