my question is related to DTS but the only thread relate to DTS is under data warehousing so I decide try it here as well.
I try to write a DTS to export data from SQL Server to a text file. Even the size of field of the text file shows (in the DTS propperty window) as 3000 but the actual size of output data is much smaller, around 256. So my data got truncated. Am I doing something wrong or that is the limit of the text file.
