Row level Encryption

    Hi Experts,

    How can we achieve row level data encryption in sql server 2008?

    will it severely affect the performance?

    Is there problems when taking backup and restoring?

    Does it have any negative impact??

    IIRC, and you have the Enterprise Edition, you would use TDE, Transparent Data Encryption. Look it up in Books Online. After reading that, any questions, come back and ask.
