We are shifting our DAILY, WEEKLY, MONTHLY, and Emergency Build process (elevations, prod implementations) from our Prod DBA Support team to our Configuration Mgmt team.
Looking for a SQL Server ROLE to use for the Config Mgmt teams use.
Does SQL Server offer a predefined, operations type ROLE (w/ DDL admin, etc.. w/OUT stored proc EXECUTE permissions) similar to DB2 and Oracle offerings?
Curious as to what others are using to accomodate non-DBA, Config Mgmt needs for SQL Server object promotion into a PROD environment.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated hear.
