Retrieving the file name for a component failed

    We have a job for executing a SSIS package.the package is running fine when the application team executes it directly but when the job IS RUN,IT failes with the error " Retrieving the file name for a component failed with errorcode[0x1AB1F318].The package execution returned DTSER_FAILURE[1]"

    Just got same error in 2005 SSIS. The error occurred in ActiveX Script Task. This isn't my dtsx but I have to fix it. Any help is appreciated.

    What does the ActiveX task do? Does it fail at a certain line, or does the whole task fail? Does it fail only when executed by the SQL Agent service?

    I haven't completely determined what this thing does yet? I do know it is supposed to call an FTP client on the server and send a file to another server.

    All script errors report same number & msg. Impossible to tell where failure occurs. I am working on that.

    I am currently running under my personal credentials. I am a sysadmin in SQL and network admin. That should be enough to do what I need to do.
