Hi all,
I created an application in PDF format and would like to automatically fill in some fields with data retrieved from the database. Is it possible?
I am using visual studio 2003 and sql server 2000. Thanks!

Hi,
I suggest that you use the version of Crystal Reports that comes with Visual Studio 2003. This can generate a report using data from a datasource such as SQL Server and can also accept parameters. You can then save the resulting output as a Word document, an Excel spreadsheet or indeed a pdf document.
Check this out in the VS help
ms-help://MS.VSCC.2003/MS.MSDNQTR.2003FEB.1033/crystlmn/html/crconcrystalreportdesigneroverview.htm
Hope this helps

Hi,
did not check the Crystal Reports' capabilities concerning PDF; if it´s about filling fields of existing PDF documents, have a look at Tall Components' Pdfkit. Of course it depends on whether you / your company is willing to spend some money.
I'm developing a data based solution on .NET 2.0 and found Pdfkit quite worthwile; as soon as we go live we'll purchase the license.
Cheers,
Juergen
