Restoring multiple databases at the same time

    Hello,

    Is it possible to run multiple restore scripts for restoring databases in seperate query windows simultaneously?

    Also, what are the risks if any in taking back ups of key production databases during the morning/noon (8 am- 12 pm) US EST time frame?

    First one, Yes.

    For the second, I'd hope you are taking periodic log backups during the day. SQL Server is also designed to allow you to take backups at any time while users are accessing the databases.

    Great, thanks for the quick reply. Yes, we do take log backups of all high volume production databases at every 30 minutes 🙂
