This morning one of our SQL job failed for log shipping from Server A (Production) to Server B (Standby).
To fix the problem i took the full database back from Server A and then copy it over to Server B and restore to Server B. Its been about more then 4 hrs and still on Server B the status of databae is Loading. And when i try to refresh the database or view the properites i get the Error:927 (databae can't be open its in middle of restore).
I can't seem to figure out what's wrong ? How can i stop this restore process ? And if i stop it will i loose any data ?
This is kind of very urgent...Please reply back
Thanks in advance

killing restore will probably put db in bad state.
to stop the restore you should be able to kill the process running the restore or stop the sql service or restart the machine completely.
you will probably have to drop the db after you stop the restore.
Is the backup known to be good?
Do you have plenty of disk space?
is .bak file on different drive then data files?
having all files on one drive can be very slow.
