Restore Job is failing with the below described error..

    Recently in one of the production server, the restore job is failing with the below error-

    Msg 61700, Sev 19: Get configuration error: x80770004 RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally. [SQLSTATE HY000]

    Can anybody please suggest the cause of the failure of the job?

    Is this a Litespeed backup? I haven't seen this error myself, but I googled it and found this thread among others: http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=82654

    Thanks Greg, for posting the link. Much useful. But they suggested to install the Latest litespeed version (atleast 8.5) and in our prod server, the 4.6 vesrion is installed..!

    Can you give me a suggestion of this below error message, I found the same in ErrorLog::

    2010-04-14 04:41:05.97 spid59 BackupVirtualDeviceSet::Initialize: EndConfiguration failure on backup device 'VDI_05B509C9-B19D-4CF9-B7F8-6A573946346C_0'. Operating system error 0x80070008(error not found).
