Perhaps wrong place to ask, but anyway.
SQL server 2012.
As most use is tests, I restore DB's very often.
After latest WIN10 update, it has suddenly become impossible.
Not sure that it is the cause, but there is a time coincidence.
Restore process claims, that the relevant .mdf file is in use.
Activity monitor says, that it's not accessed at all.
OK, quick solution, make a new db, and use it for the restore.
Same result.
Trying to look directly at the .mdf files shows, that I have no read rights.
A bit surpricing, as I am administrator on the PC.
So, it seems like a 'Rights' problem, but I have been unable to solve it.
Any help out there?
Best regards
