Hi,
I am new in the db world. I have a full backup file from one sql server box copied to another server which I have installed same version of sql (sql2005). When I try to restore, I get this error, how do I get around it? thnx:
TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
------------------------------
Restore failed for Server 'i-Control-Server'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)
------------------------------
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: The backup set holds a backup of a database other than the existing 'AMI_VTS' database. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)

Hi,
Found the solution! I just set restore options to overwrite and the restore drive was different in the backup machine.
