Restore across versions

    It has always been my understanding that I could not restore a db backup from enterprise edition to standard edition.  Is this so?  Can you restore a enterprise db backup to a standard instance?

    You can restore a user database from SQL Server 2000 Enterprise to a SQL Server 2000 Standard server.

    You can restore a database from Enterprise to Standard version of SQL Server.

    Note however that Enterprise only features won't be enabled in the database when it is restored on the Standard SQL Server. (eg: Indexed Views, Clustering, Log Shipping, etc)
