Resource db in 2008

    Hi Team,

    I installed sqlserver2008 in my pc but i did n't found Resource db

    if there any reason.

    The resource database is a hidden database. You cannot see or access it through SSMS.

    It's stored in a different place in SQL 2008 and it's treated almost as if it was a dll.

    The dll for resorucedb can be found under

    drive:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10\Binn

    Assuming default installation path.

    That's not where you would find it on my machine, for example.

    I saw something in the SQL 2008 SP1 fix list that implied you could now move the Resource database, but I have not followed this up yet. IMHO there have been enough problems in the past when it should have ben OK to move Resource that I think it is safest to leave it where the installer puts it.

    sorry it's not dll i think

    i saw that path:D:\program files\MSSQL10.FIRST1\MSSQL\Binn\mssqlsystemresource.mdf,mssqlsystemresource.ldf
