Hi Team,
I am using SQL server 2008 Standard edition. Now I want to connect AS 400 DB2 Database from my SSIS Package.
Option1: The best idea is to use the MS OLE DB Provider For DB2, BUT this work only with the development or Enterprise edition of SQL which I cannot afford.
Option2: IBM iSeries Access for Windows ODBC drivers.
Do we need to buy this license? If Yes what is the licensing cost? Is it viable option to use this driver to import more than 4 mn records? How do I implement this?
Thanks in advance,
Joy

Have you tried using IBM Data Server Runtime Client ? It is free.

Hi,
If you are running an AS/400, don't you have client access installed ? don't tell me you are still using 5250 dumb terminals to access AS/400 ?
If you have CA installed , then you all ready have an ODBC driver !
