Reporting Services Security Model

  • Can someone explain how Reporting Services Security works?

I just don't get it. BOL talks about Roles within Reporting Services, but how do you map Windows User Accounts/Groups or SQL Server Logins to the Roles in Reporting Services?

    Kindest Regards,

  • I too would love to have this explained.  I am attempting to open up some reports to our organization, but with the proper security i place, so only those authorized can see x report.

    thanks.

  • Good morning, this site has a webinar on it called:

Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Technical Overview—Demo 3: Managing Reports at:

    http://www.microsoft.com/seminar/mmcfeed/mmcdisplay.asp?lang=en&pf=100501

I am fairly new to the Report server from Crystal myself and found this very helpful....  I am actually having trouble with creating dataset using stored procedures...
