I'm using a subscription that emails out an report in Excel which has a group. The report correctly starts a new page for each new group, but the tabs in Excel are called "sheet 1", "sheet 2" etc...Is there a way to change these to be the group values?
Thanks in advance 😉 Also, if you read this elsewhere, I misposted it to the wrong forum first...sorry.

Out of the box, this is not supported in SSRS. That being said, some in our company have had some limited success with creating macros and or .net applications that perform the task.
I also came across this link (http://www.spacefold.com/lisa/post/Changing-the-Sheet-names-in-SQL-Server-RS-Excel-QnD-XSLT.aspx) in another forum for a method that supposedly works but I've been unable to make it so. If you have any luck with it, please post your results and how you did it.

Thanks for the info. I read the additional post and to be honest, its a bit out of my league in terms of programming capacity. If I ever can't sleep, though, I might work on it. Let me know when you get it to work...:D

For those that read this post in the future, I just found an article that is helpful in resolving this issue, for SSRS 2008 R2 and above
