Hi All,
We are trying to install an existing SSRS on an existing SQL 2008 installation but get the following error:
Error:
Rule "Same architecture installation" failed.
The CPU architecture of installing feature(s) is different that the instance specified. To continue, add to this instance with the same architecture.
We have gone to Advanced options to check whether 64 bit options is selected. We have installed a different instance on the server but it does not want to install against an existing instance of SQL Server.
Please advise?
Regards
IC

Imke, make sure the platform installer you are using is the same as the current SSRS installation.
It looks like you are using a 32 bit installer on an existing 64bit platform.

Thanks for the fast response but like I said in my mail, the 64 bit option is selected for the installation. We are not trying to install a 32 bit version.

run: Select @@version in SSMS, past results back.

I think it has to do with the fact that I am installing a component of SQL 2008 R2 which SP is lower that the one that currently exist on our server.
