Hi all
When an user export a report to excel or to any applicaiton after running a SSRS report from internet explorer , it wont export and just creats an empty tab on internet explorer.
But for other users it works fine. The above user has got new computer and before she could export it on older computer. Is there any setting I need to do on Internet explorer or anything? Right now it just creates blank tab after clicking export button.
Please help
Thanks

Have you checked what's happening server side?
Query stuck?
Rendering stuck?
Anything in any of the logs?
Exec log, windows & sql logs?
Can you export the same report with the same parameters on another machine?
Anything else points to clone the old machine and rebuild the new one from that, which I'm sure you want to avoid!

Thanks for reply
All other users can export the report easily. This user has only problem. I am how and which logs I need to look at. The report running fine and users been using from long time , its just export to excel.
This user's PC was upgraded from XP to Windows 7. Its same PC but formatted and upgraded by IT department. PC works fine and so does the internet explorer. I am thinking is there any setting need to be done? I can't go back to IT dept and tell them to check as they dont have a clue what SSRS is so they will not look into this problem.
Its something I need to do myself.
Thanks.

Possibly. But it wont export to any format. Not to PDF even or anything else. So I am assuming its problem in internet explorer. Why it opens a blank tab when export button is being clicked?
Is there any case this user might not have permissions to download or something? But same time I believe she can download other stuff.
Strange I know but please if you can help me will be much appreciated.

Try adding the site to safe zone and then putting the security to the lowest level.
That's the only thing that could block this in IE that I know of.

Hi
The problem was in IE it self, New tab wasn't working. I fixed it by running a fix for it. I guess its bug from Microsoft.
Thanks.

Do you have a link that details that info? I'm sure a lot of people might need that info in the near future.

Above is the link. When I was clicking on export in SSRS report, it opens new tab and exports to excel or whatever. As new tab wasn't working it was just giving me blank tab.
