So probably from the title of this thread your already thinking this guy is an idiot...
Well, here's the story...Long before I came to my current position my current boss secured the funds to purchase SQL Server 2008 R2. After installing all the basic services (going through the install motions) Trouble hit the company and he was forced to place his attention else where. When the company rebounded a year or so later they put my boss and myself though proper SQL classes to actually know what we were doing. Well, we/I am now working on Reporting services, but my boss does not remember the password that was used.
As dumb as this all sounds, are their any other alternatives we have besides deleting and reinstalling Reporting Services Configurations Manager?
I'm open to suggestions,
Thank you,
David92595
P.S. And when I said he set up just the basic systems, he did not create a backup encryption key.

sorry but it might just be me reading the problem, but what is the actual problem?
has the service account used to run SSRS expired and needs a password change?
have any reports ever been deployed to the SSRS server?
