Is this possible ?
We have a license for sql2008 but we cannot move right now our datawarehouse from 2005 to 2008.
We begin to make reports with reporting services. RS2008 seems to have good new features that i could use.

It is just a connection string definition nothing more because 2005 is just your datasource database so it will not affect your SSRS operation. You could use SSRS with many other RDBMS databases.

Not all you need to install SQL Server 2008 relational engine, SSRS with the two database very important also remember to backup both databases regularly. The reason to backup both databases is both are needed for migration or to recover from hardware failure. And I would install all features in the 2008 install so if needed you could create cubes and other SSAS features as needed. I am assuming you know there is a new Report Builder for SSRS 2008 a separate download that your users can use to create reports.
Post again if you still need help.
