I am not exactly sure what is causing this issue. I am creating a replica of our production environment in our staging environment. We currently are using Windows 2008R2 with SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services and for our database it is on SQL Server 2012 sp1 but is a sql 2005 database in compatibility mode. I cloned the vm that reporting services is currently using and restored the databases from production into our staging database environment. Our staging db environment is currently using windows server 2012 with sql server 2012 sp2 . When I try to connect to the database in staging i get the following error:
The feature: "Using other editions of SQL Server for report data sources and/or the report server database" is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,
What Edition (e.g. Enterprise/Standard/BI/Web/Developer/Express) is each part?
Are you seeing this message when connecting to the RS databases via Reporting Services Config Manager and/or trying as a datasource for a report?
Thanks

Thanks, connecting via that should upgrade the RS databases automatically. Is the 2005 RS patched to the latest SP (SP4?)
