Before you start, boss doesn't want to upgrade just yet.
I'm tring to install SRS 2000 on a Windows 2008 server. It can not find IIS or .Net, but they are indeed installed.
Any suggestions?

The short answer is no because SQL Server 2000 which you need to run SSRS 2000 will not run in Windows 2008. Your problems are more than IIS and .NET because you cannot run SQL Server 2000 in Windows 2008.

Then you need to run your RDL in IIS 6 which comes with Windows 2003, the only way IIS7 will not reject your SSRS 2000 RDL is if you load all your RDL in ReportViewer 2005 because the web version of the control is httphandler.

SQL 2000 RS expects to find IIS6 and since it is not availble it will probably fail, I have no idea if it works to go IIS6 compatible mode.... but it is not a good idea to poke around and try to get it running since SQL 2000 is and will not be supported on Windows Server 2008.
