Reporting Services 2000

    Guys - can anyone explain to me the current situation as regards Reporting Service 2000? The only download I can find for this says it is 1) an evaluation version and 2) a 120 day free trial!

    There is no indication of how to purchase it once the 120 free trial finishes. And I would be unhappy if they had decided to charge for it after giving it away so so long.

    I assume they are trying to push people towards SQL Server 2005? But there are still going to be many of us using SQL Server 200 for a few years yet. It does come out of the box with SQL Server 2005 right?

    Yes, it comes out of the box with 2005.  It also comes out of the box with 2000 as of late 2003.  Perhaps you just need a newer disk of 2000 that has the reporting piece on it.
