Hi everyone
This is probably a very stupid question, but once you have created your SSAS cube, how do you let your clients browse it online?
Ideally I would want a website they can log into and view reports and browse the SSAS cube.
I'm just starting to look into this, so please excuse my ignorance.
Thanks.

Not a stupid question at all.
You can use Reporting Services to create reports to which you can give access to. The one drawback of reports are that they are limited in terms of user interaction, meaning that you will have to choose the values from the cube to display beforehand.
If you want to enable users to browse the cube, with the freedom to slice and dice the data in any way they want, you have 2 options. You could either create a report model and allow users access through Report Builder (an adhoc reporting tool embedded in Reporting Services), or you can give them access through Excel.
Excel is usually a good choice for power users in my opinion.
Hope this helps.

Or in the newer version, PowerPivot.

thanks guys
been doing .Net and SSIS kind of stuff most of my career, been looking into SSAS and SSRS the past month or so, looks like a very interesting field to get into.
Will create a demo scenario and play around with all the features.
Cheers!
