The Version of the report server database is either in a format that is not a valid, or it cannot be read. The found version is ‘Unknown’. The expected version is ‘C.0.8.43’. To continue, update the version of the report server database and verify access rights.(rsRPCError)

I have seen this where there is a difference in the version/edition on the database server instance you use, and the Reporting Services instance you use. You should have both the same edition/version level

I think this could be either 1) a new Reporting Services installation, or 2) you directed the Reporting Services databases to a different database server.
In case 1), check the versions and editions and do appropriate upgradations.
In case 2), point the databases to a database server instance with the correct edition/version.
