Report Model Design - Named calculations

    Hi,

    One of the reports that is based on a report model I built is slow because of calculations and too many filters.

    Will adding a named calculation to the dsv improve the performance of the report?

    The report is a matrix report with Grosssales for each year, quarter(columns) and for each region(row). The Grosssales is a New Field added in the report and is a calculation based on some other existing fields. In each region, there are filters added to exclude some account numbers at each region. The report is very slow.

    My question was that could we improve the performance by making some modifications in the model( say by adding some named calculations within the dsv of the Model)
