Hi
I have a user (domain user) who's account i had granted publishing , content_manager privileges in the Reporting URL. But still the Icon to the Report Builder (Program files\Microsoft SQL Server\Reporting Services\Report Builder\ReportBuilder_2_0_0.exe) was not appearing. But when i add this domain user to the Local Admin/Administrative group then it shows up. Prior to it, the user did not have execute / access to the above Reporting Services directory. I added this domain user to the Security tab for the folder and too did not help. Finally i had to add this user to the Local Admin / Administrator privileges on that box. That is solving the issue. But is this a must for someone to have access to Report Builder? I do not want to grant full privs to Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server directory since this person is a developer dealing only with Reporting Services.
