I have SSRS installed on a UAT machine under SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition. I also have it installed on a production machine under SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition. I have a user who can see the report builder button in production but not in UAT. I have cross-checked all the settings in production against UAT and cannot see any differences. I have checked the IIS setting on both machines- they are the same. The Login has the Execute Report Definitions box ticked. The strange thing is that the user can access the report builder using the url http://<servername>/reportserver/reportbuilder/reportbuilder.application.
Can anyone shed any light on why this would be?

it's been a while since I had to work with the reportbuilder etc, but if i recall correct you should also check some rights on the IIS directories etc. To me it felt like looking for a needle in a haystack then, but maybe you have had better luck in the meantime?
<off topic>it was funny to check UAT in wikipedia, especially with the correct meaning being the last to be listed:-)</off topic>

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the response. I have checked the IIS settings and they are the same on both servers. I will log a call with Microsoft and see if they can resolve the issue. If I get a resolution I will post it here.
Regards,
Helen.
