Hi all,
I have created a couple non-standard reports using Report Builder 3.0 on SQL Server 2008 R2. The layout is strange, and I have had to build it using subreports to show the parts. I finally got my reports to show properly in Report Builder when I run them, but then when I save the report and subreports to Reporting Services and run them in the browser, the formatting is not quite as tight as when shown in Report Builder. The real concern is that when I print out from RS, the reports are very out of format. The formatting is mostly lost on the right side of the page, but there are also issues with vertical spacing between blocks on the page which do not show up in either RB or RS output.
Can anyone point me to something I might be able to do to get passed this issue? Very disconcerting to have RB and RS give output that is not the same as the printout.
Thanks for the help...

You should see the same formatting with the same rendering extension. This means that a report exported to PDF should look the same between reporting services and report builder. Depending on how the report was built there could definitely be differences between a html document and a pdf document.

I'm of the same thinking, but that's not what I'm seeing. There are definite differences between the output rendered in RB3, RS, and by print. So far I have been able to get RB and RS to be closer in rendering, but the print is noticeably off, to the point where it cannot be delivered as is. What would be your first step toward figuring this out? I am still very new to RB, and am not sure what my next step would be, short of starting from scratch.
Thanks..
