Reporr drilldown option

    HI,

    This may not be the right forum but being that it is a (new) component of SQL Server, here goes: I'm experimenting with Reporting Services Report Designer in Visual Studio 2003. Using the "Wizard", I created a report with the "Enable Drildown" checked on the Report Wizard's "Choose the Table Layout" dialog. I also chose the "Stepped" option.

    I would like to turn off the "Enable Drilldown" but I can't find it anywhere on the properties of the report, page, table or wherever they have it hidden. The only way I can get rid of it is by creating a new one.

    Can anyone help?

    I must admit it's not that easy to get to.

    1) Bring the properties for the Matrix (not the report)

    2) Select the "Group" tab

    3) Select the group to change in the "Rows" box

    4) click "Edit..."

    5) Select the "Visibility" tab

    6) Un-check the box labelled "Visibility can be toggled..."

    7) Click "OK" to close each of the dialog boxes

    As you may or may not read in another thread I created...I am having trouble implementing the drill down..I actually have it implemented and it works great in the ReportDesigner preview pane...but when I deploy to the ReportServer and page just reloads itself when I click on the (-) for drill into.

    Any ideas?

    You can't have underscores int the DNS server name of the Report Server..
