Replication v Log Shipping v Mirroring

    Hi All,

    Can someone please help me distinguish between the various types of availability modes as above. I am struggling to undertstand why you would choose one over the other.

    I mean I can understand using mirroring with a witness to enable automatic failover. But in High Protection mode??

    Any help/advice would be apprecited.

    I would recommend either reading a book covering these topics or hiring a professional to come in and give you a review and written suggestions using your systems and requirements.  There are simply too many possible permutations to cover in a simple forum post.  🙂  Sorry!
