I am in plan to migrate SQL server from 2000 to 2005. How do I take care about transaction replication.
I have distributor in different box.
How shall I do this? shall I do first subscriber and then distrubutar and then publisher or vise-versa any suggestion.
Shall I just use upgrade vizard to do that?

I would recommend disabling the replication, do your upgrades, then re-setup replication. You need to configure the distributor first. Look up books online in 2005 for replication setup steps. They have done a very good job in explaining the steps (unlike in 2000). just follow through and you will be good.

Are you doing "In-Place" upgrade or "Side-by-side" upgrade ? I've just done "In-Place" upgrade and I didn't have to do anything for replication. It kept right on working afterwards.

We going to do side-by-side upgrade....after we do we going to put same server name.

Could you do "in-place" ?? side-by-side seems like so much more work, but may be required in your situation.

Yes it is the requirement to go only side-by side only
