Hi,
I am looking for suggestions on what is the best design strategy for this senario:
I have a production CRM database running SQL 2005.
I want to build a data warehouse on another server, running SQL 2008, used for reporting services.
The database is about 40GB, however most of it is historical data that doesn't change.
I would like to pump the data accross from the production database to the data warehouse so that reports can be ran "offline", and in close to real time as possible. ie, Ideally I would like the 2 databases synchronized either in real time or not more that 15 minutes apart.
I have read up on replication and mirroring, but not sure what is the best strategy?
Comments please?
