Hi guys,
Apologies if I'm posting what will probably be a fairly simple question for most people but could someone point me in the direction of some useful tutorials/ documentation with regards to replication from SQL 2005 to SQL 2000? I don't think I can use log shipping as SQL 2000 wouldn't read a SQL 2005 transaction log backup when I tried but I'm hoping that I can keep two databases on different versions of SQL synchronised using some form of replication. However, having never used it before I would be extremely grateful of anything that can help me to set this up!
Thanks in advance,
Dan

You care correct - you cannot use log shipping. Replication works fine though.
There is nothing really special to set up. Configure your publication on the SQL 2005 server and add the subscriber. The instructions in books online are not bad - start there.
