I have been asked to set up transactional replication from our current Production environment (SQL Server 2008 R2) to a "new" replication environment which will be SQL Server 2014.
First, is it possible.
Second, anything I need to watch out for?
Thank you for all of your help.
And yes, this set up would be temporary as we are upgrading our production environment in a few months but the Infrastructure Guru's want to build out the new server now...

Yes

Having done this recently, multiple times, make the distributor SQL 2014 and do the entire setup from Management Studio on that server (i.e. SSMS 2014)
