I am trying to re-establish transactional replication on my server. After patch was applied by another team, replication has failed on sql 2k server
The error message is below
The process could not connect to distributor
The process could not connect to server
Tried number of things like
> dropping and recreating the replication
> dropping and resetting the distributor_admin password
But none of them seems to work. Tried many things from the internet as well like dropping those network server names. But none seems to work.
Please provide your inputs on this. Would be of great help to me.

It sounds like it could be a communication error. Are you use that one server can connect to the other? Also, which version is this?

This is Sql 2000 replication issue.
Actually the distribution,publisher,subscriber are all on the same server.
Getting the same error message.
The process could not connect to distributor 'server name'
The process could not connect to subscriber 'server name'
And in the end there is error 'Agent is suspect'
Tried some things from the internet like increasing the increasing the inactivity threshold.
Still doesn't work
