  Hello,

  I'm trying to replicate data from SS2000 to SS2005 Express over the public internet.

  I've configured the firewall on the SS2005 server to allow connections over port 1433 and have restricted this to specific IP addresses and have tested that this works by opening the database remotely via management studio.

  Now I need to set-up the server as a subscriber in SS2000. I have set-up the SS2005 server as a remote server and *think* I've set-up the remote login mapping correctly, however when I try to set-up the subscription, the SS2005 server isn't listed as an "enabled subscriber".

  Have I missed something?

  What happens if you explicitly say "Add Subscriber", then add your 2005 server using IP address and the remote login.

  Are you able to do this ?
