Replication Drain?

    We are interested in using Transactional Rep, but have a server that is overworked at certain times and wonder if Transactinal Rep will be too much strain as our users insert 10k records at crunch time 

    I am interested in what anyone one has to say about personal experieinces regarding Security, reliability and Server Drain regarding Replication

    If using transactional replication the hard work will be in the distributor. So my advice is to separate the distribution server into a separate server than the publisher.
