Replication doesn't work

  Hallo All ,

  I configured Transactional replication in SQL server 2008 . Publisher is XYZ and Subcriber is ABC . They have different IP address .

  But it shows an error that the replication could not find the actual name for subscriber.

  I check select @@servername in subscriber , the result is the same as I put in Subcription so I can’t understand why it is not recognized

  Are you connecting with the actual server name & instance name, rather than with a port number or something like that? It sounds as though you are from what you say, bu I want to double-check.
