  hi all, i am having serious problem with merge replicatoin on sql server.

  our merge agent is going down for different erros some times network and sometimes something else

  when i try to restart the agent it is restarting but to connect to other side of sql server it is taking forever.

  something like 8 to 10 hours.

  Now my first idea was something has gone wrong with the network.

  but transactional replication between the servers is running fine.

  please advise, does it happen due to the hung pids on the subscriber side or merge partner we can say.

  Thanks in advance, please through some ideas.

  Hi,

  What sort of errors are you getting ?

  ARe all the indexes in place ?

  Do you have a lot of data waiting to be replicated ?
