Replicate data option

    Hi All,

    Beside replication, log shipping, backup and restore, is there any other method to automatically replicate data to a test server.  We have standard version; therefore, we can not use log shipping.  Replication to 5 servers will slow down our production server, and backup and restore will not 100% automated.

    I really apprecate any ideas.

    Why can you NOT automate Backup & Restore via a DTS Package or a JOB?

    Will dts be able to handle restoring log files as well?

    It sure will.

    You can either create a DTS Package or create a SQL Job to do all this.
