My guess is that "if at one stop i have more than one address then i have siblings" is lost in translation, and I think you need to read it as "if at one stop i have more than one row with the same address then i have siblings"

I agree, but what I am really struggling with is, since it is a school bus, and the passengers are more or less static, why not issue a fixed seat for each in the beginning, no need to calculate this one on the fly.

We as humans have a tendency to overcomplicate things, NASA spent a huge amount of money developing a pen that would work in zero gravity, the Russians used a pencil 😉
