Removing [To Parent Directory]

    Hi

    I am new field in SSRS in SQL 2008.

    How to remove To Parent Directory once complete deployed the project.

    HI,

    I notice that this post is quite old but as it happens I have the same requirement as SQL Galaxy.

    We have an 'outside' consultant who needs to see 2 reports. If we set them up as a domain user they can get access to all the other reports in the domain via the [To Parent Directory] link at the top of the page.

    We have tried many other options to try and restrict their access but it causes the report to fail due permissions issue (if they are not in the Domain Users group).

    Does anyone know how we can remove the [To Parent Directory] link in the report or alternatively restrict their access.

    When a report is accessible to a user but fails due to permissions, it's usually related to however the data source is configured in terms of the security context.
    There are ways to restrict access but I'm not sure on what you mean with the [To Parent Directory] link in a report. The report points back to something else? Or are you talking about inheritance and the permissions flowing down to the other folders?
    Another option that may or may not work for you is to setup a subscription for the report with a delivery method of Windows File Share. Then the access would be needed for that share instead of the Report Server.
