Removing NTAuthority\system account from Production box

  Hi gurus,

  Any body has succesfully removed NTAuthority\system account from your production box. Can you please mention how to and what impact I will have on system. Also please tell me how to grant a proxy account enough privileges to carry out all operation smoothly

  Yes,

  Firstly, add the NT Account under which MSSQLSERVER service starts up to your server. This should be a domain account, not LOCALSYSTEM.

  Grant it SysAdmin rights.

  Remove BuiltIn/Administrators

  Be careful if you have Full Text Searching
