We had one instance of SQLExpress and due to some file corruption issues one of our contractors had to create a second instance that they named TEST. Now that the new instance is running OK I want to remove the first one which is named SQLEXPRESS. What is the best way to do that? I looked for something in server configuration manager but didn't come up with anything there.
Thanks

go into add\remove programs and find SQL server 2005 then click remove.
the wizard will start and ask which instance you want to remove. select the radio button for the sqlexpress instance and follow the steps through to remove the instance
