Hi
Ive just got a new laptop which has vista on it, Within XP I used enterprise manager to alter remote sql 2000 tables/data etc, what can I do with vista.
If I get the 2005 Developer edition does that contain something that can work with remote sql 2000.
What about the 2008 Developer edition?
Any help would be great
Cheers

You can install the client tools on your laptop. But I am not sure about 2008.

With Windows XP SP2 or later, the answer is Yes.

Yes, you can use the 2005 client tools to manage SQL Server 2000. You can even manage a 2000 instance with the 2008 tools, however - there are a few things that won't work.
For example, in 2008 they changed the activity monitor and it will no longer work against a 2000 instance but works fine against a 2005 instance.
