Hi
This is the scenario. I have 2 sql 2k servers. I am trying to setup distribution and subscription on one server, and other server as publisher. but the first server is not allowing me to setup a remote publisher for that distribution. First i tried on windows NT work station. after that i tried on a windows NT server. but no use.
please suggest me what changes i have to make in sql server 2000 or windows NT server to accept remote publishers.

Sorry you define the distributor for the publisher from the publisher not the distributor. When you setup publications it asks you to define a distributor or use the publisher as the distributor.

Thats true. but when u first set up a distribution on one server it will ask you which servers can use this distribution for publications and which servers can use this distribution as subscription. Here this distribution server is not giving me any option to select my remote server as a publisher to use its distribution. please help me regarding this.
